Top 10 Box Mods

This year’s box mods have been a refreshing change of pace, and give light to the changing landscape of vape technology. That’s why we have compiled a list of the top ten box mods of 2016, so far, based on performance, ingenuity and design.

Innokin Coolfire IV-iSub G

This is a relatively low-powered, easy-to-handle mod that features 40W, 7.5V and up to 2.5 ohms. It is a versatile little machine with a cool, brushed-steel look and it is remarkably lightweight. Innokin has learned a lot from their other devices and included plenty of other safety features on the device to keep it cool and prevent discharging.

Eleaf iStick 30W

This is another smaller device with a somewhat short brand history. Nevertheless, this device’s biggest feature is the 2200 mAh battery that can last for days even at the upper limits of its range. This may be a beginner’s device, but even experienced vapers can appreciate the simple plug and play nature of the stick.

Aspire Odyssey

A perfect mid-range temperature control device, this is one of the most popular box mods of the year. It is rated for 70W and between 200-600F. It is a super efficient mod with tons of great temperature control technology and presets, especially for anyone who is new to temperature control and wants to experiment.

Joyetech eVic VT 60W

The Joyetech eVic VT 60W box mod has one of the largest battery capacities of any box mod on the market today – 5,000 mAh at 60W with a classic double striped case. The screen is clean and clear, with a large fire button placed just perfectly for your fingers. Plus, a 4 ml tank makes it easy to go forever between refills.

Wismec Reuleaux RX200S Jaybo Designs

This is a super cool box mod that brought together the engineering of Wismec and the artistic styling of the Jaybo team. They created an ultra modern 200W mod that can handle anything you throw at it. It is definitely one of the most advanced box mods of the year and comes with a wide range of options for accessories.

Tesla 200W TC Mod

This industrial looking box mod is another extremely high performance device that includes all of the great TC features that we have come to know and love, but also offers a wide range of protective features to keep you from experiencing dry hits and improve on the flavor of your vape experience. And who wouldn’t love the awesome carbon fiber look? It’s a sturdy device by all accounts.

Sigelei T150 Touch Screen

Part box mod, part smart device, the T150 Touch Screen is the vision of the future. Customizable wallpapers and simple menu navigation make the T150 an awesome choice for someone who is really looking for the cutting edge of technology. It also offers a deeper level of vape tracking so you can see how you are doing and compare different vaping configurations.

Smok R200

It’s simple, it’s clean, and it’s easy to pick up and go. This is one of those box mods that really eliminates the learning curve and makes everything as simple as plus or minus in preset increments. Adjustments are easy to understand and make with minimal reading material required. Even at 200W this is great for new TC vapers.

Kanger KBOX 200W

The beloved Kanger brand has improved even further on their KBOX design with the new 200W box mod. It got a bit of a face lift, but more than anything else it has increased the power and capability of the device and Kanger continues to unleash amazing new updates to the firmware. In addition, they have improved on the safety and convenience features included in the box.

Pioneer4You IPV5 200W

This classy new box mod is another mega-powered device that also has a long history. The IPV4 was wildly popular during its time, and this is just a stronger, more streamlined version of Pioneer4You’s technology. The sleek design of the body definitely gives it appeal, but the YiHi chipset has also been one of the biggest selling points for this thing. It differs from some of the other box mods around because they give you a variable Joule rating that is just one more way of controlling your vape experience.

2016 has certainly showcased the capabilities of all of the most popular vape manufacturers. They have honed their technology, improved on battery life and found new ways to keep vapers safe in response to government regulations. In addition, more and more companies are breaching the 200W mark and expanding their battery capacities to allow for long-term vaping with fewer recharges. In the mean time, other manufacturers have focused on simplifying menu options so that new vapers can get up to speed faster and begin experimenting with their own set-ups for better results.
