Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC Review

Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC

The Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC mod is an incredible new device available to vape enthusiasts everywhere. This impressive little box mod stands out for its sheer simplicity and functionality. It includes all of the temperature control and custom settings of the premium competitors at a significantly lower price point. With such a tiny form factor, offered in simple black and grey options, it is an incredibly sleek and trimmed down mod that is just right for someone who wants an easy-to-use device.

Unlike other mods that have complex menus, tons of extra buttons and more features than the average user can really use, the Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC is a perfect fit.

Temperature Control

The Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC allows the user to adjust from 1 to 150W output, and it can also be upgraded all the way to 200W. In addition, it has a resistance range from 0.1 to 3.5 ohms with presets for nickel, titanium and other specialty coils.

It is also capable of a temperature range between 200 and 600 degrees Fahrenheit. The fully customizable controls are managed with a convenient rocker switch that naturally falls under your fingertips. The screen features easy-to-navigate menus that are organized to allow quick movement to preset configurations.

The dual 18650 batteries provide a long service life and the case offers reverse polarity protection, preventing you from inserting batteries upside down. There are also many safety features included such as: low battery, imbalanced battery, over draw and short circuit protection. All of these protect the user and the device from damage in any configuration.

While some users report that the battery screen indicates one battery discharging slightly faster than the other, further testing with a multi-meter indicates that the two batteries actually discharge equally over time. With a mid-range setting of about 75W, it is possible to go up to a day and a half on one charge.

The advanced chipset included in the Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC is capable of regular firmware updates with the USB port, a feature most notable among high-end competitors, which keeps the device relevant as better technologies are developed over time.

The touch screen allows the user to flip between multiple menus and easily change settings for a truly unique experience. Unfortunately, the screen is not as large as some of the other box mods on the market, and can be somewhat difficult to read outdoors in direct sunlight. However, the goal was to make this thing small and comfortable for anyone to use, and that has definitely been accomplished.

In addition, the tech installed in this device is very fast and easy to use, leaving out the burdensome load screens and unnecessary wake up times, so there is no wasted time between picking it up and taking that first hit. Just a few quick clicks and the device wakes right up and is ready to use.

All of the connectors and components are made of high-quality materials and with such a small case, the batteries fit snugly so there is no rattle or sign of movement. The gold-plated, spring-loaded adapter allows you to connect your atomizer snugly with either a full-size or mini model. Stainless steel threads create a solid connection for reliable use.

For the $50 price range, the Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC could be a great choice for anyone that wants to experiment with high-end features on a budget. Depending on your location, these can be found as low as $36.99, plus shipping. Compared to other 150-200W TCs in the $80-90 range, the Cuboid has a lot to offer.

One of the major concerns about the size of the Cuboid seems to be that it appears very fragile. There are now several sleeve protectors available to help prevent damage to the case, when or if it is dropped. In addition, some people have voiced concerns that laying the device down on the side with the button could cause it to fire. Putting a case around it creates a small air gap around the button so that when it is laid down, the button won’t come in contact with a flat surface.

Overall, this is a great introductory device for someone who wants to learn about temperature control or sub-ohm vaping, or who wants to try out several different coil types with various vape juices to find a good combination.

It provides a long-lasting battery life that is perfect for people on the go, but also includes the ability to charge and update through the micro USB port. Current software updates allow the device to go all the way up to 200W of power. At a fraction of the size and price of many other TC mods around, the Joyetech Cuboid 150W TC is a winner.
